Young Innovators’ Programme

YIP (Young Innovators Programme) is a specially designed programme under Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC). Through this program it is aimed to empower and support our students to innovate new solutions, products, services or models to meet emerging requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing needs of the society more effectively through an innovative challenge.

We are one among the top colleges in providing and registering ideas and solutions suggestions to (YIP) to support the government with current social/ tecnhical and economic challenges. With the guidance Nodal officer and Mentor Faculties, the students develop few inquiry solutions to overcome these posted challenges and register it to YIP KDIC official link. The authorities screen the ideas posted by the students and select the best ones to the higher level evaluation and presentations.

In the past 6 years, several ideas from the our institution were selected for the higher evaluation and students presented their ideas to the government authorities. This has boosted the technical and problem solving expertise of our learners and paved way for better communication skills in public platforms . We conducts orientation classes for our learners from K-DISC and YIP technical teams to enhance our young learners with design thinking, collaborative, creative problem solving and leadership skills and thereby aims for a better exposure fruitful learning environment at our campus. Currently the students are being supported by Mr. Aneesh Kumar ( Assistant Professor, Dept. of Physics), Dr. Dhanya S ( Associate Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry), Dr. Dhanush DM (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Geography), Ms. Jovi Joseph and Dr. Sreela CS ( Assistant Professors, Dept of Computer Science) as the mentors for the team.
