An equal opportunity cell is constituted in Government College Kariavattom to ensure that all students are treated equally and attempts to address deep-seated inequalities in our system. It also addresses the issues related to students belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Caste, and minorities and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) on a continual basis. Mereena C.S., Assistant Professor, Department of Geography is the convener. Suchithra Krishnan, Assistant Professor in Botany, Dr. Jeethenthrian N, Assistant Professor in Tamil and Sreeja S, Assistant Professor in Computer Science are the cell members. A separate link for addressing the grievances of SC/ST/OBC students is provided on the College’s official website. The students can mail their grievances and they will be addressed by the cell. The cell also addresses the grievances of PWDs.
